[src-015] Grave Guy...I don’t know where to begin truly. Grave Guy is, simply put, an experimental artist from Australia, a part of the online and ever evolving music collective Breakers Gang, having been a music maker since 2020, changing with every release it seems. From experimental improvisation and jazz on deep cuts like 4th Dimensional Plane and [1-15], to industrial, space ambient and whatever the fuck he’s doing on THE BOAR and An Endless Hallway of Doors. To even deeper cuts like the nilmyre ep and his other aliases EVAR G and Helheimr. The weird sound collage and experimental ep with Unit Productions: “Messenger”, and his Shit outtakes comp that’s one of his best. His most recognizable projects being 2023’s: “Alive Guy” and his most recent release only having dropped in January, GRAVEDEATH. Well, you’re probably asking why I brought all this up. If it wasn’t obvious, I am talking about Graven’s next chapter. What he has been working on for a PAINSTAKING 12 months, from January 2023, in the near immediate aftermath of Alive Guy’s finished recording, to January of this year. Ladies and Gentlemen and Mxmen alike, we present to you, Sludgebath. The third Ip from Grave Guy, this thing is fucking bonkers. Pardon the language but it’s just the damn truth. 36 minutes and some odd seconds, six tracks of absolutely noisy experimentation from Grave Guy pulling out all the stops. His most fleshed out and passionate album to date. Six tracks of blistering power electronics, harsh noise, avant-garde metal, folk, black metal, breakcore, industrial metal footstompers, and blackened noise that’ll absolutely make your ears bleed. Coproduced with fellow Breakers member Unit Productions, all 36 minutes are filled to the brim with detail and leaves no expense.
